Travel to and from Aarhus

By plane

Aarhus Airport located 40 km north of Aarhus offers direct international flight connections to Oslo, Stockholm, Gothenburg, London/Stansted as well as frequent domestic flights to Copenhagen. The shuttle bus from Aarhus Airport to the city center takes about 45 minutes and stops at the university. For further information, destinations and departures, please see the airport's website.

 

Billund Airport located 100 km south of Aarhus, has international flight connections to Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt, London/Gatwick, Manchester, Riga, Oslo, Stockholm, Munich, Milano, Nice as well as several other European cities. The bus from Billund to Aarhus takes about 90 minutes. For further information, please see the airport's website.

 

Copenhagen Airport is Scandinavia’s largest airport. After arriving at Copenhagen Airport you may continue by plane to Aarhus Airport. It is also possible to travel by train (or bus) directly to the centre of Aarhus (this takes approx. 3,5 hours).

By train

Getting around in Aarhus

Arriving in Aarhus

The Airport bus from Aarhus Airport stops at the university before continuing to the city center. The final stop is outside the train station in central Aarhus. If you are staying at the University Guest House the stop at the university is closest, otherwise continue to the city center. All locations are marked on the map.

From Billund Airport to Aarhus there are two different busses. The Airport Bus stops at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel, while bus no. 913 X stops at the central bus station. Both locations are marked on the map.

Busses in Aarhus

Busses 3, 11 and 14 runs from the area around the central train station to the university. You can can download a map of the area around the train station from the menu on the right. In order to travel from the city center to the university, the destination on the bus should be:

Bus no 3: Trige or Århus N

Bus no 11: Vejlby Vest or Skejbyparken

Bus no. 14: Skejby Sygehus
